Saluti da Italia!

We begin our third week in Italy on the Adriatic coast looking over an olive grove in the town of Peschici. We're looking at the map to drive west toward Naples where we'll spend a night at a bed and breakfast on a buffalo ranch (really!) before visiting Pompeii.

I've been meaning to write something daily and post some of the gazillions of pictures I've taken but somehow it hasn't happened. May have something to do with late dinners and bottles of wine. So, we will have to catch up as we can during our travels.

We stayed in a small southern Tuscan town, Chiusi, for two weeks. This is the view from our terrace, looking south over a long valley..

We've seen Michelangelo's David, the Uffizi Museum in Florence, St Catherine's preserved half millennium old head, Galileo's crypt, and more medieval hilltop towns than I can remember. We'll write more when we can. Now, where's the corkscrew?
